Why I Read

I read because of the escape it provides for me. I can be stressing out or struggling and pick up my current book to wipe my mind clean of everything but that story. Books provide a sense of accomplishment for me as well. When I finish a book that’s large or small I feel like I have accomplished something. I am currently reading two different books at once, which I’ve never done minus school and personal books at the same time. I am reading Pride and Prejudice because I have wanted to for a while after seeing the movie.

I have been told I am an old soul, which I understand because books like Pride and Prejudice and old-fashioned movies are pretty high up on my list of favorites. Someone to Watch Over Me is the other book I am reading.

It is a book I got and thought it would provide a nice break from the heavy text of Pride and Prejudice. These books and others all allow me to create my own world in my head even If it is just for thirty minutes or two hours.

  1. Thanks for including the specific titles and clip. I can see why you'd want something to give a break from the heavy reading of P&P. Have you heard of P&P&Zombies? It's funny: http://www.amazon.com/Pride-Prejudice-Zombies-Classic-Ultraviolent/dp/1594743347/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1386158856&sr=8-2&keywords=pride+and+prejudice+and+zombies
